Make the Most of Your Amazing Content | Goodbye Writer’s Block

You finally cranked out that blog post; it took more time than you’d like to admit. You quickly post it on your social and… that’s it, right? You’re happy it gets 350 hits, and you don’t think twice about that content ever again.

But now you’re sitting in your thinking chair, trying to come up with more content for your business and you’re drawing a blank (We’ve all been there).

What about repurposing that blog you wrote last month?

Repurposing pieces is the basis of creating well, digital content. So, let’s say your blog post was titled “10 Reasons Your Cat Actually Hates You.” You took that blog and promoted it with a witty caption on your Facebook Page.

But did you know you could take that blog and make a ton of future content out of it?

Repurposing the same blog means…

  • More website traffic
  • More people to retarget in campaigns
  • Reaching a new audience that your original post didn’t reach

… without investing a lot of time!

Here’s how:

Turn Staggering Statistics into Graphics

cat content statPeople love visuals, aka images, and videos. Turning the interesting facts or statistics into easy-to-read graphics or infographics can make your content a bit more digestible. People are more inclined to share an interesting image or an unknown but exciting fact. You can post these images on multiple platforms, including Pinterest, Instagram, and more.

Make It into A Video/GIF

Similarly, you can transform that blog into a video. Maybe you have b-roll footage of cats chasing a mouse or playing with their owner. You can take important information from your blog post and post it over the b-roll, which makes the piece more entertaining, especially for platforms such as Facebook and Youtube.

Create a Guide

Keeping with our cat blog example – if you’re talking about kitty-human relationships, you could expand on that and create a downloadable guide. Guides can bring more traffic to your website, but most importantly, you can request that the user give you their email in exchange for the guide. Now, you have contact information for people who you KNOW are interested in this topic and can retarget them with a relevant sales offer.
